McGill VPN Linux Client FAQ

  • Q1: Get following error message, how to fix the problem ?
    Cisco Systems VPN Client Version 3.7.3 (A)
    Copyright (C) 1998-2002 Cisco Systems, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
    Client Type(s): Linux
    Incorrectly built binary which accesses errno, h_errno or _res directly. Needs to be fixed.

    A1: Use 4.01 client version.
    If you do a search on google you should be able to find it.

  • Q2: get "Remote peer is no longer responding." message, what's wrong ?

    A2: The groupname or grouppwd is wrong. Get them at here

  • You must run "/etc/init.d/vpnclient_init start" before using the client.
